Insurance information
As students at Humber College, you are covered for filming any curriculum related filming both on and off campus.
Humber can provide COIs in certain situations for Private Residences and Businesses. If the private residence is owned by a student or an immediate family member of the student Humber Cannot issue you a COI, we have Location Agreement Letter you will need to get signed by the location owner to confirm this.
CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE(COI) - How to get it

If you are filming OFF of Humber Campus property you will need a Certificate of Insurance (COI). You do not need to complete this form if filming ON Humber Campus

This form is to request insurance through Humber's Internal Insurance Provider.​
NOTE: HUMBER DOES NOT COVER EQUIPMENT FROM RENTAL HOUSES, VEHICLES, OR PROPERTY OWNED BY STUDENTS OR STUDENTS' FAMILY MEMBERS.

Municipalities (Cities) COIs
When requesting a film permit from a City or Municipality they will require that you provide them with a COI.
These are certificates of insurance (COI) available for Municipalities listed below so you can obtain a City Film Permit, if you do not see the City or Region you need a COI for you may email the Media Productions Coordinator Megan Naylor (megan.naylor@humber.ca) directly for assistance.
The following COIs have been prepared in advance for your use.
ACTRA Insurance
THIS IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS IN BFMP 3RD AND 4TH YEARS AND FMTV 2ND AND 3RD YEARS. Those are the only programs and years authorized to use ACTRA talent.​
ACTRA requires Accident on Set Insurance that covers ACTRA performers. There are also forms to fill out if there is an accident on set. Please contact the Production Coordinator if there is an incident.
